How To Find & Read Digital Comics

Digital comics are typically read on computers and handheld devices such as iPhones, iPads, and PSPs. There are a variety of programs available for these platforms which will enable you to purchase, download, and read digital comics in a matter of minutes. Some of these programs are listed below.

Ave! Comics
Available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

Comixology is an application which allows the user to view a weekly list of new releases in a format that allows you to view each issue individually, displaying cover art, credits, description, price, page count, and other information. Comixology also has a growing list of digital comics available for purchase and download from such publishers as DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, and others.

Comics+ is an application which not only allows you to purchase and download digital comics from some of today’s top publishers, it also brings you daily comic book news. 40 titles are available for free with the application.

ComicBookLover
Available for Mac OS X, iPad, and iPhone

ComicBookLover enables comic fans to easily view, collect, and organise digital comics. DC Comics

iComic

iComic makes great use of the multi-touch function for simple and effective page navigation and zooming to provide the best portable comic book read you will find. iComic displays high resolution comic pages (jpg, tif, or png image files) contained inside compressed zip or cbz format archives. Using the built-in download function, comics can be downloaded from the internet or from a personal server and stored locally on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
